Joining the Mitsui family

Belchim is now a proud member of the Mitsui & Co. (“Mitsui”) family. Mitsui is

one of the leading Japanese trading and investment companies, with a rich

history – having been established in 1947 – and with an impressive presence

in many of the global economy’s most important sectors.

Mitsui’s activities are spread across 16 business units, which include Energy,

Mineral Resources, Machinery, Nutrition & Agriculture etc. The uniqueness

Belchim’s new shareholder is Mitsui Agrisciences International (“MASI”),

which belongs to the Nutrition & Agriculture business unit. The mission of

MASI is to contribute to sustainable food supply and agriculture industry

through science, with a recognition that the crop protection sector has an

important role to play.
