The crop protection industry is inherently complex, given the large number
of crops and pests (diseases, insects and weeds) and therefore the large
number of active substances that it involves. On top of that, crop protection
approaches are changing continuously, because of new conventional active
substances and biological products.
Belchim, and its sister company Certis, have always understood the
importance and value in continuously conducting trial work
• to understand how growing practices, pests and product performance
are evolving
• to build internal product know-how
• to identify the ideal technical positioning for each molecule within the
portfolio.
As a result, between the two companies there are now five research centers
to enable a broad range of testing and trialling, covering various product
categories and various crops.
